Navionics SonarCharts Now Available on Lowrance and Simrad

soanrcharts

Have you owned a Lowrance, Simrad or B&G for some time? If so, you can create greatly enhanced SonarCharts™ of your favorite boating areas with almost no effort at all!

In fact, Lowrance, Simrad and B&G models automatically store sonar data by default during everyday use, so unless you have turned trails off, the whole library of sonar logs recorded since day one may be residing on the plotter’s memory. All you have to do now is export from your chartplotter to your Navionics card and upload to our website. Once sonar logs are saved on a card, it can be plugged into a computer and the data is transferred to Navionics through the internet to generate new SonarCharts™ for you and other boaters after about one week.

Here is how: http://www.navionics.com/en/plotter-tutorial/lowrance. You can print these instructions before you go to your boat or read them on your phone while you are onboard next to your sonar.

Only Navionics accepts sonar logs from all major brands including most models of Humminbird (DAT and GPX on all models, GPX only on ION and Onix), Raymarine (SDF, NMEA, GPX) and Garmin (ADM). Check http://www.navionics.com/en/compatibility. Boaters can choose to share all of their logs at once or they can record and export specific files. Learn more about SonarCharts™ and find tutorials on how to record sonar logs.

On GPS plotters, it’s included with Navionics+, Platinum+, and HotMaps Platinum for compatible plotters. Owners of any Gold, Silver, Marine & Lakes USA, and HotMaps Premium cards can have it with Navionics Updates.

Simrad NSS NEW LOWER PRICES!

Simrad has just dropped the price of all their NSS touch screen units. In addition to that there are also mail in rebates on them from Simrad in the range of $150-200 depending on the model which are on until April 6th 2014.

If you haven’t had a chance to take a look at these units you owe it to yourself to check them out. Many people don’t know that Navico who owns Lowrance also own Simrad so all the features like Broadband Sounder, StructureScan, SonicHub, etc are available on the Simrad units. The autopilot integration on the Simrad is second to none so for serious trollers these units are the ones to look at. My favorite feature of the NSS units is the roto knob on the keypad which lets you move through the menu and make selections extremely quick if you choose not to use the touch screen.

Take a look at the current pricing on our website http://radioworld.ca/marine-chartplotters-sounders-c-4_95.html?filter_id=183 and remember the Mail in Rebates are on top of this.

Lowrance SpotlightScan and SonarHub Announced Today

Lowrance is giving its customers a special Halloween treat by announcing their latest additions to their line of imaging sonar and CHIRP products.

spotlight

The SpotlightScan transducer  is a trolling motor mount that scans the bottom based on your trolling motor position.  This lets you control the size and speed of the transducer sweep.  Through a NMEA2000 sensor that is mounted on your trolling motor foot pedal,  SpotlightScan orientation and rate-of-turn data are communicated to the HDS Gen2 display in relation to your boat’s position. This only works with Minn Kota and Motorguide cable steer trolling motors.

trolling motor transducerIn addition to the Spotlight view the SpotlightScan transducer also provides DownScan Imaging for picture-like images of fish and structure beneath your boat as well as Broadband Sounder technology, which is ideal for lure tracking.

SpotlightScan is compatible with HDS Gen2 and HDS Touch units, but will not work with the HDS Gen 1 units.  HDS Touch units do not require the SonarHub module for SpotlightScan functionality.

sonarhubSonarHub is an all in one sonar access module that allows StructureScan, SpotlightScan, and CHIRP functionality all through the one module.

CHIRP sonar with the Airmar TM150M or B150M transducers delivers improved target resolution and noise rejection, as well as wide coverage for perfect arches that clearly identify fish targets.

The SonarHub and Airmar TM150M is going to be an awesome upgrade for  Great Lakes salmon and trout fishermen running HDS units.
