What an amazing day we had here at Radioworld with our 2nd annual Ice Fishing Seminar and Sale. The store was jammed packed all day with ice anglers taking advantage of our one day only sale. We had just over 70 people on hand for the seminars and I am sure that each one left with something new to try on the ice this season.
Everyone at Radioworld would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who attended and showed such and enthusiastic interest in this event. In only one short year this seminar more than doubled in size and moved from our over crowded lunch room to our full office space with only standing room available to late comers. We have already discussed plans for next year’s event and have some great ideas in store.
We were fortunate to have a diverse group of speakers that openly shared the techniques they have developed after countless years on the ice. A big thank you goes out to Barry Graves, Grant McAllister, Gerry Heels, Wil Wegman, Rob Newton, and Bob Stirling for their excellent presentations.
In addition to this tremendous line up of top ice anglers in the province on hand we also had a few other special guests for the day. Sgt. Karen Harrington of the OPP was on hand to talk with anglers about ice safety and the message was well received by the crowd. Rosa and Charlie from Lures and Tours were also here to take some photos of the event and promote their directory that is an invaluable source of information for all anglers.
The most important thing we sell at Radioworld is the customer experience and it was a pleasure to serve you all this past Saturday and we appreciate your support for special events like this.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you who came by the Radioworld booth at the Great Outdoors and DIY show this past weekend. I had a great time presenting my seminar on StructureScan and Side Imaging sonar along with my special guests Pete Bowman and Angelo Viola from Fish’n Canada. We had some great questions asked from those of you who were in the audience and I hope that you all learned something that will help you catch more fish.
The highlight of the weekend was having Jimmy Houston and Roland Martin stop by our booth and give us the rundown on the U.S. Reels we had on special. The technology behind these reels is revolutionary and I’m looking forward to trying one out on the water this year.
This show was a clear sign that ice fishing season is just around the corner as the St. Croix ice rod combos were a hot item. The Humminbird Ice Flashers were also very popular along with the FishTV underwater cameras. Speaking of ice fishing, back here at the store we are gearing up for the Ice Fishing Seminar and Sale we will be hosting on Saturday December 11th. You won’t want to miss this as we will have a handful of Ontario’s top ice fishermen on hand to answer your questions and give you tips on using your electronics this winter season.
At Radioworld, we continue to offer our customers the best selection of products at competitive price and the very best available service possible!
